Patented raised-bed SOC method

Build Soil Organic Carbon, one field at a time

BPIS sensors read EC, pH, moisture, and temperature at multiple depths. Our Smart Drum brews the bio-fertilizer, motorized valves apply it on schedule, and the SOC kit measures the carbon your soil gains.

PRODUCTS

Four products, one soil-carbon system

Each product works on its own. Together they sense the soil, produce and apply bio-fertilizer, and verify the carbon gained.

01

Multi-Depth Multi-Probe Soil Sensor

Four dedicated sensor units — EC, pH, moisture, and temperature. Each unit has five stainless probes reading at 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 mm, powered by solar and sealed to IP67.

Smart Drum

An IoT-monitored bio-fertilizer production tank. It brews the Jeevamrutha microbial inoculant used on SOC beds.

03

Motorized Ball Valve

Opens and closes irrigation and fertigation lines on schedule or when sensor readings cross a threshold. Control it from the farmer app.

Soil Organic Carbon Test Kit

Test soil organic carbon in the field. Record a baseline before the bed is built, then measure the gain after each cycle.

PATENTED SOC METHOD

A raised bed, inoculated with bio-fertilizer from the Smart Drum

Our patented method builds soil organic carbon in a raised bed of crop residue and green manure. The Smart Drum's microbial inoculant speeds up decomposition, and sensors track the bed through the full cycle.

Four-phase decomposition cycle
1
Test the baseline
Use the SOC kit to record starting soil organic carbon before the bed is built.
2
Build the raised bed
Layer 30% nitrogen-rich and 70% lignin-cellulose material to reach the target C:N ratio.
3
Inoculate from the Smart Drum
Motorized ball valves dose the drum's bio-fertilizer into the bed through the fertigation line.
4
Monitor and measure
Soil sensors track EC, pH, moisture, and temperature for 180 days. The SOC kit then measures the carbon gained.
SOIL SENSING

Five depths, four sensor units

Each parameter has its own field unit. Five probe tips read from 100 mm to 500 mm, so irrigation and fertigation go where the roots need them.

SANGAM · SWAYAM

Two networks, one platform

SANGAM connects whole FPO clusters over long-range LoRaWAN. SWAYAM connects a single farm over Wi-Fi. Both run the same sensors, valves, and Smart Drum.

SANGAMFPO / community

Long-range LoRaWAN (IN865) links hundreds of field devices across villages to one gateway and edge hub.

Edge AI that keeps the farm running without internet

An on-site edge AI hub runs the automation locally. Irrigation schedules, fertigation dosing, Smart Drum cycles, and alerts continue when the connection drops, and data syncs to the cloud when it returns.

MRIṆSĀRA APP

Soil carbon results on your phone

The companion app for the BPIS Soil Organic Carbon Test Kit. Run the kit test in the field, photograph the vial, and Mriṇsāra reads the colour and gives the SOC result for the exact spot you sampled. Available in Telugu and English.

Scan the kit box
A QR code check confirms the kit is genuine, in date, and not recalled.
Step-by-step test guide
Every test step on screen with timers. Lock the phone and get notified when time is up.
Photo colour reading
Place the vial on the colour card and take photos. The app checks blur, glare, light, and tilt before reading.
SOC result with confidence
Low, Medium, or High class with a likely range and a confidence level, so you know when to retest.
GPS-tagged sampling points
GPS is averaged at each sampling point, and the app guides you back to the same spot for the next test.
Plot maps
Walk the boundary to map each plot and calculate its area in acres.
History that shows real change
Compare like-for-like tests and see whether soil carbon has really gone up.
Works offline
Tests are saved on the phone and sync to the cloud when you are back online.

Screening and monitoring only. Not for carbon-credit claims.
